I'm pleased to say that my new website is being well received with lots of views and a few comments being sent directly to me from the contact form.
Yesterday, Tuesday I went with one of my photo pals Mabel* to Liverpool and New Brighton! We went on the train using the Saveaway ticket which is brilliant value at £4.80 - we travelled on the train, the ferry 'cross the Mersey, two buses and the train back, all for £4.80! We had a great day, the weather was fantastic and lots of people were on the beach at New Brighton.
On first arriving in Liverpool, we found ample photo opportunities outside St George's Hall and the Walker Art Gallery, then fed our cultural needs by visiting the Rankin exhibition. Next stop was the Albert Dock before boarding the ferry for the next leg of our journey.
We walked along the promenade from the ferry terminal Seacombe and was heading towards New Brighton but was stopped in our tracks about 3/4 of the way by police stop tape, no more walking along the prom for us. It seems that a body had been found and there was a full blown incident site in progress. Plan B was to find a bus stop and continue by bus to New Brighton.
We had visited New Brighton and Perch Rock lighthouse about 18 months ago and was, yesterday able to re-take photos under much better weather conditions.
Photos from yesterday will eventually reach my Flickr account and will appear on this site at some point.
Ta ta for now
